What a great community we live in the Northern Neck. I have lived here permanently for two plus years now. Even though my husband and I and our family had been coming here on weekends and summers for over 20 years, living here on a day to day basis sheds a new appreciation for the area. We have found so much to do here and have met many wonderful and talented people in the process. There are numerous activities throughout the year. There is something for everyone from cultural activities like the Westmoreland Playhouse or the Chesapeake Chorale Concert, and outdoor activities at Belle Isle State Park, to area church dinners. There are still farmers markets in several counties to attend on various Saturdays through early November. There are many historical places to visit such as the Fisherman’s Museum and the Tavern and Christ Church. Just pick up a local paper such as the Rappahannock Record or check out the bulletin board at your local post office. Try something new. You won’t regret it.
